Lin Amendt

Retirement Consultant
Linda (Lin) Amendt had been a Federal employee for over 30 years. She received a BS in Biology from Marywood University, and an MS in Physiology from Alabama A&M University. During her federal career, she spent part of her first 22 years overseeing Human Resource paperwork including leave systems, timekeeping, benefits, grants, fellowships, insurance, and retirement-planning courses. For the last 10 years, she has worked as a timekeeping auditor, wrote GSA contract justifications, recruited and directed personnel paperwork for scientific hires, and advised on benefits and retirement issues. In 2014, Ms. Amendt helped gather a group of federal employees together for self-taught sessions on Retirement paperwork. The group grew to over 800 employees across several federal agencies, and was recognized in an article in Government Executive Magazine in 2015. Lin’s strengths are networking and outreach to agency employees needing help putting together a “Healthy Retirement Package” for OPM.

Joy Lazaroff

Retirement Consultant
Joy retired from the Federal Government in 2016 after 36 years of service. She attended Montgomery College and the University of Maryland, earning a degree in Health Sciences. She received extensive training in Federal personnel regulations, employee benefits and labor relations. She has substantial experience in quality systems management, interpreting government requirements and regulatory compliance. She has also worked in government records management and information disclosure and has private sector experience dealing with Medicare and Medicaid billing and reimbursement. Joy’s primary focus is to assist you with the required forms to help you and your family receive all your benefits in a timely manner.

Kathy Madaleno

Retirement Consultant
Kathy has been a Human Resources, Benefits and Retirement professional for 40 years. She received her B.S. Degree in Labor Relations and Personnel from the University of Maryland, completed the Human Resources Executive Program at Stanford University and Georgetown University's Executive Leadership program at McDonough School of Business. Kathy has worked in private industry, including CIGNA Insurance Company, not-for-profits and employee-owned companies. She has substantial experience in the development, implementation and monitoring of all types of federal, corporate and individual benefits and retirement plans. Kathy’s main responsibility is to get to know who you are and provide the advice and retirement planning needed to help you and your family achieve your overall retirement goals.
